What is Grammar?

 What is Grammar?

Grammar is a set of rules used to speak or write a language. It deals with the structure of words and sentences only and is not related to the meaning of the words or sentences.

For example:

1. He is going to Lahore today.

2. He is go to Lahore today.

3. He is going to Lahor twoday.

Sentence “1” is grammatically correct with no spelling mistake.

Sentence “2” has no spelling mistake but grammatically is wrong.

Sentence “3” is grammatically correct with two spelling mistake.

So, we can say that grammar deals with the first two sentences. The reason is that the third one has spelling mistakes and grammar is not related to spelling or meanings of the words or sentences.
