Everyone is in
hurry. From getting up in the morning up to going to bed at night, there are so
many activities to be done and so many tasks to be completed. Everyone today is
too much busy in his life that he couldn’t find to talk to anyone around him. In
case someone wants to talk to any colleague in the office
or anywhere in the streets or in shopping, the other person doesn’t have time
to listen. We can say that there is a general shortage of listeners.
If someone in your roundabout agrees to
listen to you, it means that actually, he wants to discuss his problems with you,
not to listen to your problems. In short, we can say that this is a business of
giving and taking. If someone agrees to listen to your views or your problems, it
means that you will listen to him in the return. So you should prepare yourself,
how much will you listen and how much will you make the other person to listen to you.
If Allah has granted you any special
position in society, then you should always ready for the situation that
people will come to you and will share their problems with you. When a person
faces any difficulty or problem, he seeks help from others. If the said person
comes to you for some help, it means that you are like a candle in the darkness
for him. And this is the blessing of
Allah Almighty that He granted you such a career and character that people look
towards you for help in their worse times. If you notice, there are thousands
of people in your city or town. Your Allah has chosen you for the help and well
being of others. You should be very thankful for that.
According to the ratio, commonly discussed
everywhere, every second person in our society has some problem with him. For
solving these problems, they normally visit comparatively educated or
financially established ones. If anyone wants to help these helpless ones or
wants to become popular in the public, he should develop his listening skill.
He should a lot of time and stamina to listen to others. He should discuss the topics
of the interest of others. He should be available for the public on a single click
and on a single knock. The reason is that majority of the people like speaking
instead of listening because they want to share their difficulties and to
lighten themselves.
